Telugu Poet P Varavara Rao Tests Positive For COVID-19!



Noted Telugu poet and activist P Varavara Rao has tested Positive for Covid-19. The Poet-writer-activist has been behind bars since 2018 due to his involvement in the Elgar Parishad case. The 80-year-old was tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday (July 16th). P Varavara Rao was shifted to JJ Hospital in Navi Mumbai on Monday (July 13th) after he complained of weakness and breathlessness.

After a series of tests, it was confirmed that P Varavara Rao has been tested Positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. According to the doctors at JJ Hospital, Rao is asymptomatic and stable but was unable to walk due to severe weakness.  After testing positive, P Varavara Rao was shifted to St George’s Hospital, a dedicated coronavirus facility. 

According to the dean of JJ Hospital, Rao is stable and showing no symptoms and his breathing and medical parameters were found to be stable. Authorities at St George Hospital said that Rao’s oxygen saturation levels, blood pressure, and fever was found to be normal after a series of tests.
