Noted Urdu Legendary Poet Dr. Rahat Indori Passes Away, Aged 70! Rahat Indori Passes away



Indian Bollywood Lyricist and Urdu Poet, Rahat Indori has passed away on Tuesday (August 11) after being tested positive for the coronavirus a few days back. He was 70 years old. According to a statement released by the hospital, Rahat Indori passed away due to cardiac arrest. Rahat Indori was admitted to the hospital after he complained of difficulty in breathing and showed symptoms of the COVID-19. On Tuesday (August 11), it was revealed that Rahat Indori had tested positive for the coronavirus. Rahat Indori tweeted the news of his COVID-19 positive report on Tuesday morning. 


In his tweet, Rahat Indori wrote that he underwent testing on Monday (August 10) after exhibiting symptoms of the COVID-19. The test came back positive and he was admitted to Aurobindo Hospital. Rahat Indori had been a noticeable and highly respected figure in the Indian Film Industry for over the past 40 years. Rahat Qureshi was born in Indore and he spent a big chunk of his life in Indore, The Indian Bollywood lyricist has penned down several songs for Bollywood films such as Khuddar, Murder, Munnabhai MBBS, Mission Kashmir, etc, and so on. Rahat Indori passed away on Tuesday evening at Aurobindo Hospital after suffering two heart attacks.

After complaining of breathing difficulty, Rahat Indori was admitted to Aurobindo Hospital in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He was also tested positive for the coronavirus. The doctors treating Rahat Indori said that the noted Urdu Poet passed away after suffering two massive heart attacks on Tuesday and could not be saved. Along with the COVID-19, Rahat Indori was also diagnosed with 60% pneumonia. Before checking himself into the hospital, the Indian Bollywood lyricist had tweeted that he was diagnosed with the coronavirus. He further urged the people to not call his family and friends and that the people will constantly receive updates about his health through Twitter. He succumbed to his health and Rahat Indori passed away on 11th August 2020. 

Among the poet’s most powerful lines are “Sabhi ka khoon hai shamil yahan ki mitti mein; Kisi ke baap ka Hindustan thodi hai (Everybody’s blood mingles in the soil; Hindustan does not belong solely to one)”. The noted Urdu Poet and Indian Bollywood lyricist passed away on Tuesday evening after suffering two cardiac arrests.
