It was the second match of the day and Delhi Capitals faced Punjab Kings at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first
. Mayank Agarwal and captain K.L Rahul opened the innings for Punjab and provided their side a brilliant start to the innings. Mayank scored 69 off 36 deliveries and Rahul scored 61 off 51 deliveries. And to the end of their innings, Deepak Hooda scored a quick 22 off 13 deliveries to make their total reach 195 with the loss of 4 wickets.
On the other side, Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan opened the innings for Delhi. And the pair didn’t disappoint them, as they provided them the start they wished for in a huge run chase
Prithvi Shaw scored 32 off 17 balls, whereas his partner Dhawan played a match-winning knock of 92 off 49 deliveries, with 12 boundaries and 2 sixes. Marcus Stoinis scored a quick 27 from just 13 balls to make sure the victory in the end. Tomorrow Chennai Super Kings will face Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium at 7:30 pm, IST.
