Defense Minister Rajnath Singh Reaches Leh To Carry Out Security Review Amid India-China LAC Standoff!

Indian defense minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Leh on Friday (July 17th) morning on a day-long visit. Rajnath Singh will be conducting a security review of the area amid the LAC Standoff between India and China. Rajnath Singh’s visit comes amid the rising tension at the LAC between India and China.

Rajnath Singh is accompanied by Chief Of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat and Army Chief Gen MM Naravane. India and China just held their fourth round of diplomatic talks regarding army disengagement in Eastern Ladakh. The Indian military is on a strict overwatch and under strict instructions to not allow Pakistan to fish in troubled waters. 

LAC tensions between India And China began after 20 soldiers were killed during a standoff between the Indian Army and the PLA in Ladakh’s Galway Valley on June 15th. Rajnath Singh, Bipin Rawat, and Narvane visited Leh’s Stakna to witness para dropping skills of the Armed Forces.
