On Saturday (August 22), Pakistan officially confirmed the presence of notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim in Pakistan. Pakistan listed Dawood Ibrahim’s residential address in Karachi on the official terror watchlist. Following this, Pakistan officially recognised the presence of Dawood Ibrahim in Pakistan.

However, in less than 24 hours, Pakistan has reversed its stand. Pakistan has taken a U-Turn regarding the presence of Dawood Ibrahim in Karachi, Pakistan. After officially confirming the presence of Dawood Ibrahim in Pakistan on August 22, 2020, Pakistan has now denied the reports of Dawood’s presence in Pakistan. On Saturday, Pakistan released a list of 88 terrorists, which included Dawood Ibrahim, who was responsible for the 1993 Mumbai Blasts. In addition to that, Pakistan also listed Dawood Ibrahim’s home address in Karachi, Pakistan.

However, just hours after the announcement, Pakistan has taken a U-TURN regarding Dawood Ibrahim’s presence in Pakistan. Pakistan Officials have said that all the reports claiming Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan are misleading and false, and Dawood Ibrahim is NOT in Pakistan.

After providing Dawood Ibrahim with a shelter for over 20 years, Pakistan finally acknowledged Dawood’s presence in Pakistan on August 22, 2020. Pakistan officially admitted that Dawood Ibrahim, the most wanted man in India, lives in Karachi. However, just a day after the announcement, Pakistan has now reversed its stand regarding the presence of Dawood Ibrahim in Pakistan. According to Pakistan, Dawood Ibrahim is not in Pakistan, and all the reports indicating his presence in Pakistan are false and misleading. 

The Pakistan Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that reports indicating Dawood’s presence in Pakistan are baseless, false, and misleading. Dawood Ibrahim is not in Pakistan, said the Pakistani Government.
