The movie, Black Widow is directed by Cate Shortland. The writer is Eric Pearson from a story by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson. This movie features Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow alongside Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Rachel Weisz. After Captain America: Civil War (2016), this film sees Romanoff on the run and forced to confront her past.
Shortland wanted this film to be “peril at its heart” and be “really emotional but also story-driven”. Early reports suggested that Rob Hardy would be the film’s cinematographer, but he left the production before the filming began. Later we got to know that, Gabriel Beristain served as cinematographer instead of Rob Hardy. The production team moved to Pinewood Studios in London in early June. Ray Winstone joined the cast later that month.
The shooting of the movie started in mid-July at Hankley Common in Surrey, England, under the working title Blue Bayou. This site was made to look like a Russian farmstead, with helicopter and plane crash sites everywhere. The Thursley Parish Council objected the filming of this movie, because it was found that Marvel Studios’ application to use the site was still pending. The production planned to revisit this site later in August 2019 for further filming. The film Black Widow was officially announced at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con later in July. At that time the release date was May 1, 2020. In August, Olivier Richters announced that he had been cast in the film and later in the next month, Deadline Hollywood reported that Robert Downey Jr. would appear in the film in his MCU role asIron Man.
The filming locations in Macon, including the Terminal Station, were dressed to portray Albany, New York. Photos of the Set in October unveiled to us that William Hurt would appear in the film, reprising his MCU role as Thaddeus Ross. The production of the film Black Widow officially wrapped on October 6, 2019.
The filming of the movie ,Black Widow, took place from May to October 2019, in Norway, Budapest, Morocco, Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom, and in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia.
