| Source: DNA India The battle for political supremacy has now deepened as its Ashok Gehlot Vs Sachin Pilot in the final frontier. Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot was summoned by the Rajasthan Special Operations Group on Friday (10/7/2020). The Deputy CM was to appear for questioning related to the Rajya Sabha investigation that began in June 2020.
However, it seems that major cracks have been developed between Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Deputy CM Sachin Pilot. Sachin Pilot has been sent a letter asking him to appear for questioning for an investigation into Pilot’s alleged attempts to destabilize his own government.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot called for an emergency meeting late Sunday (12/7/2020) night as Rajasthan’s political crisis deepens. The political tension between Gehlot and Pilot has now escalated and the two are now at loggerheads. Sachin Pilot, along with his 30 MLA’s, is holding strong ground at Delhi. Whereas Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has accused the BJP of overthrowing the Rajasthan Government. However, at the moment, its Ashok Gehlot Vs Sachin Pilot as the letter to Sachin Pilot looks like the last straw.
