Srinagar: A complete two-day curfew has been imposed in Srinagar ahead of the 1st anniversary of Article 370 repeal. The Government revoked the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir by abrogating Article 370 in 2019. A move seen as unconstitutional by many, several more have welcomed the move. Following the Article 370 Repeal, Jammu and Kashmir were divided as 2 separate Union Territories. Hence, the J&K Government has issued a two-day complete curfew on 4th and 5th August 2020 as a precautionary measure. As per the Intel report, there are chances of violent protests erupting across the J&K capital ahead of the 1st anniversary of Article 370 repeal.
