It has been a year since the Indian Politics lost a crucial leader in the form of Sushma Swaraj. One of the most profound leaders in the BJP, Sushma Swaraj, passed away on August 6th, 2019, at the age of 67. On the occasion of her first death anniversary, tributes are pouring in for the former external affairs minister from all ends. Sushma Swaraj passed away at AIIMS, Delhi, on August 6th 2019. Before she passed, she tweeted the decision of the Government abrogating Article 370 and 35A, which granted special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. She thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling her dying wish. After undergoing a kidney transplant in 2016, Sushma Swaraj had opted out of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls citing health issues.

Her role in resolving the highly tensive Doklam standoff between India and China will always be remembered.
