In a major development for popular Chinese application Tik Tok, the White House is about to put a ban across the States for the use of this application. President Donald Trump had earlier hinted that he would also launch a digital strike on China, the same way India did a month ago.
Tik Tok has always been the radar of many super powers when it comes to digital strike. This is because TikTok enjoys a wider user base across the Asia, Europe and Americas.
The move of Tik Tok Ban in USA comes amidst the concerns of US Security Intelligence. It is believed that China uses the data for national concerns and the personal data of million Americans is in danger. US Senators think that Chinese applications are using the information to help the Chinese Intelligence.
The Tik Tok Ban in USA would be a major setback for ByteDance, the developers of the Chinese conglomerate. USA has about 80 million active Tik Tok Users. This would hamper the user base as the billion users in India are too lost by Tik Tok in June.
President Donald Trump will soon sign the executive order that will be the official announcement of Tik Tok Ban in USA. After the ban, Tik Tok won’t be available on any server across the US. The rising tensions between USA and China will further deepen.
Social Media is too trending with #TikTokBanInUSA. Over a million tweets are surfacing on Twitter and the netizens are boldly accepting the step by the government. China has been sharply criticized by several countries because of the harm caused by Covid-19.
