Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray Performs 'Mahapooja' At Lord Vitthal Temple In Pandharpur!
On Wednesday (1/07/2020), Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray, along with his family, performed a Mahapooja at the Lord Vitthal Temple in Pandharpur, Maharashtra. On the auspicious occasion of Aashadhi Ekadashi, Uddhav Thackeray, along with his wife Rashmi and son Aditya, set off towards Pandharpur from Mumbai. On Wednesday morning, Uddhav Thackeray, along with his son and wife, performed the Mahapooja of Lord Vitthal and goddess Rukhmini at the Lord Vitthal temple in Pandharpur.
The Maharashtra Chief Minister prayed for a ''COVID Free'' Maharashtra while offering his prayers during the Mahapooja. Pandharpur has been under complete curfew since Monday (29/06/30). A place that sees lacs of devotees every year bore a vacant look due to the pandemic. However, the State Government had allowed a few Warkaris to carry the Paduka and travel to Pandharpur via bus. As per the convention, the Chief Minister performed the Mahapooja at 2.30 am on Wednesday morning. He prayed for a COVID Free Maharasthra and for the safety, peace, and prosperity of the farmers in the state.
