In the wake of a tremendous spike in the number of COVID positive cases, the Karnataka Government has issued a complete lockdown in Bengaluru. This lockdown will commence on the 14th of July and will end by 22nd July 2020.
However, all essential services will be operational during this 8-day lockdown. With over 15,000 cases, the Bengaluru urban district tops the list of COVID positive cases in the entire state of Karnataka. In order to curb the further spread of the coronavirus, the Karnataka Government has announced a complete lockdown in Bengaluru from 14th to 22nd July 2020.
In his statement, Karnataka Chief Minister B.S Yediyurappa said that this decision was taken after a thorough consultation with experts. All the details regarding the lockdown will be announced on Monday (13/07/2020).
