CBSE Cuts Down Syllabus by 30% From Std 9th to 12th!
The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday (7/7/2020) announced that the cutting down of the syllabus by 30% from Std 9th to 12th. In the wake of the chaos caused by the pandemic, the CBSE has come up with this decision to cut down the syllabus by 30% for students in the 9th standard up to the students in the 12th standard.
However, according to HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, all core concepts will be retained. He further went on to add Class 11 students of Political Science won't study the concept of Federalism in the Constitution, citizenship, and nationalism.
Similarly, for Class 12 students, the deleted topics include India's history with its neighboring countries, social movements, regional aspirations, changing nature of India's economic development, and the Planning commission.
The cut-down syllabus for Business students includes demonetization, GST, the impact of government policies on business w.r.f to liberalization, privatization, and globalization. History classes won't include topics on partition, peasants, and zamindars of the state.
