After several states reimposed lockdown, Bihar to has joined the list. On Tuesday (July 14), Bihar announced a complete lockdown from July 16 to July 31. On 1st July 2020, India entered the second unlocking phase. However, there has been a huge surge in COVID-19 infections since. As a result, many states and cities have imposed a temporary lockdown to break the chain of transmission.
After a record single-day spike of 1,432 cases in Bihar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi announced a complete lockdown in Bihar from July 16 to July 31. Meanwhile, all essential services will be allowed. However, places of worship and religious gatherings will remain closed. Farming and construction-related activities are allowed as well. All commercial, private, and government establishments will remain closed.
