Adar Poonawala Aims To Launch COVID-19 Vaccine By November 2020!
After battling the coronavirus with sticks and stone for the past 7 months, we finally have hope for a vaccine. Human clinical trials for the vaccine against the COVID-19 have now started in every major country. The latest human clinical trial at Oxford has shown promise in its initial phase. This vaccine against COVID-19 is being developed at Oxford University, U.K, and will be brought to India soon.
Multiple Indian pharmaceutical giants have lined up to tie up with the U.K firm to mass-produce the vaccine. In a recent statement, Serum Institute Chief Adar Poonawla said that he aims to launch COVID-19 Vaccine by November 2020. Serum Insitute said on Monday (July 20) that it will be applying for a license to begin with the human clinical trials of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Oxford.
Serum Institute of India is the world's largest vaccine maker in terms of doses produced and sold globally. It has tied up with biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to mass-produce the vaccine against COVID-19. And Serum Insitute Of India Chief Adar Poonawala aims to launch the COVID-19 vaccine by November 2020.
