Teenager From Punjab Spends 16 Lakh Rupees

A 16-year-old teenager from Punjab has taken his addiction to video games to a whole another level. In this bizarre incident, the teenager from Kharar, Punjab spent a whopping amount of 16 lakh Rupees on the popular battle royal game PUBG. The boy used the money from his Parents' Account to carry out in-game transactions such as buy in-game cosmetic items, artillery, battle passes for several tournaments, and virtual ammunition.

The boy's parents didn't know about these transactions and were shocked after they found about it. The boy used his parents' bank account to carry out the in-game transactions. He used to delete the transaction messages received on his parents' mobile. In addition to that, he also shuffled money between his parents' various accounts so as to avoid low balance. The teenager reportedly used his father's life-savings to carry out these PUBG in-game transactions amounting to a whopping 16 lakh rupees.
The parents were unaware of this situation as the boy used to borrow their mobile saying that he had to study during the lockdown. Since the bank details were saved on the mobile, it was easier for the boy to access his parents' bank account. Most of these in-game transactions were made in a period of just 1 month. The parents learned about these transactions when they received their bank details. It was revealed that the boy emptied his mother's provident fund to fund his own bank account.
